I love food.
The 5th Season Restaurant. 
The first Thursday of every month The 5th Season is open. I have been chosen to work the past 3 months. I started on Grill in Dec, Pantry in Jan and Back Entremetier in Feb. This is my station from February, 6 bus tubs of food, 6 burners, numerous saute pans and me. I was responsible for all of the vegetables and starches on all of the main courses.  
Definitely the most fun and rewarding night working the restaurant.

Battle Crepes.
Chef turned us loose in the kitchen and let us all make crepes. The rules - 3 crepes per plate, 2 plates, crepes must be filled and they must have a sauce.
Sam and I came up with crepes filled with sauteed portobello mushrooms (garlic, heavy cream, lemon), topped with a sun dried tried tomato hollandaise and a micro green salad. 
I must say they were fantastic. :)

One of the only pastries I am good at making, fruit tarts. 
This particular one is a pear tart. My neighbor down the street had a ton of extra pears and called me to find out if I wanted any. While we were on the phone she jokingly mentioned making a pear tart and being the showoff that I am, I made two, one for her family and one for mine.

So… There is this kid in my culinary class who has a striking resemblance to a certain animated chef.

C-Cap Salad! 
Pretty right?! Yeah… It’s been a long road, but this salad and I are finally friends. This coming Saturday I will be competing against 144 other culinary students who will be making this exact same salad. I need to win!
